Gregory R. Malin Chief Executive Officer

Gregory R. Malin, is the Chief Executive Officer of Troon Pacific, Inc., a real estate development and investment management company based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Mr. Malin is responsible for its acquisitions, oversight and development planning, and brings over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience, creativity and vision with regard to real estate finance, asset management and planning. Mr. Malin envisions a future that we can live in a better built environment, one that enhances our wellbeing, is sustainable for the environment, healthier to live in, and of superior quality. Mr. Malin invests in both residential and commercial real estate, where he has the opportunity to deliver this type of high performance, healthier and sustainable properties, and brings with him a significant background with complex mixed use and master plan developments, as well as intricate commercial projects. Mr. Malin’s background includes founding, directing and supervising worldwide operations for a full service international real estate services organization, which was involved with the asset management of a broad range of asset types including office, retail, multi-family and industrial.

Mr. Malin has been a passionate supporter of the performing and fine arts in San Francisco, such as SFMOMA, SF Opera Guild, and ODC. He is a Board Member of the San Francisco Zoological Society, serves on the Leadership Council of the San Francisco Education Fund and Residence Hall Committee for San Francisco Music Conservatory. He is also actively engaged with international organizations that focus on environmental research and women’s health, most notably through the Kew and Voss Foundations.

Lisa K. Gunther Chief Operating Officer / Director of Construction

Lisa is the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Construction for Troon Pacific Inc. She brings over 25 years of managerial and operational experience in the technical and construction fields.

Lisa oversees the business operations, striving to increase the profitability and efficiencies of the company.  She also oversees Troon Pacific projects through their lifecycle: from the early stages of permitting and budgeting, through the design and construction phase, to managing the disclosure and disposition process.

Prior to joining Troon, Lisa managed high end custom home projects and operations for a Bay Area contractor, and she ran the service department for a commercial electrical construction company in San Francisco. She has toured the world managing a team of engineers and production staff conducting global multimedia events.

A native New Yorker, Lisa has lived in the Bay Area for 20 years. A long-time student and practitioner of mindfulness and meditation, Lisa resonates with Troon Pacific’s mission around wellness and sustainability.

Allison N. Janes Director of Design and Sustainability

Allison leads design & sustainability initiatives across Troon Pacific, Inc.’s portfolio.  Her unique and multifaceted background in the architecture and construction industries has provided her with significant exposure to architecture exploring the cutting edge of environmental sustainability, healthy materials, and distinctive design.

Guiding the portfolio through concept development, spatial optimization, cabinetry & lighting, design collaborations, and FF&E sourcing and specifications, Allison’s work brings early inspirations to life.  Allison oversees project sustainability initiatives, including LEED, Living Building Challenge, and Troon Wellness & Sustainability Standards, and is knowledgeable in wellness practices, resource efficiency, sustainable-sourcing practices, and red-list-free/chemically transparent product selections.

Allison also maintains the brand’s refined aesthetic across presentations, marketing, and PR.  On behalf of Troon Pacific, she has contributed on design and wellness topics for publications including Forbes, Robb Report, Telegraph, Town & Country, and Mansion Global.

Kelley A. Faulkner Director of Communications and Human Resources

Kelley transitioned from the non-profit sector to the world of high performance real estate in 2016. In the communications realm, she oversees marketing and public relations initiatives, serves as the neighbor liaison for residential projects, manages communications and events, and oversees Troon Pacific’s B-Corps status and engagement. In the Human Resources realm, she works with the team to build on the foundation laid by Greg and Charlot, developing a positive company culture focused on learning, excelling and giving back to the community. Kelley brings over fifteen years of experience in a wide range of leadership positions with state and county government and non-profit organizations focused on supporting people with disabilities and the performing arts. She has worked in Seattle, New York City, and the San Francisco Bay Area, and has developed and managed teams to create innovative programs, making lasting contributions to the various communities of which she has been a part. Kelley has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Olaf College, studied theatre and acting at the University of Washington and the Atlantic Acting School.

Sarah A. Sabatano Property Manager

Sarah graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY with a degree in Pastry Arts and a Bachelors in Business Management. Starting in Washington, D.C., Sarah was on the opening team for a number of restaurants before she traded the east coast for the west and managed the CIA’s Illy Cafe. Since then, Sarah has expanded her skill set in the events world both as a Chef and Manager—from planning to executing events, Sarah’s expertise has allowed her to stay calm under pressure and deliver flawless results. Her focused, highly organized, and detail-oriented personality has led to her wearing many hats at Troon Pacific as a Property Manager who handles maintenance contracts, marketing efforts, and floral design as well as coordinating and overseeing all events for Troon Pacific.

Charlot D. Malin
Co-founder, COO, Director of Design(b.1968 – d.2017)

An accomplished Interior Designer and Design Director, Charlot D. Malin founded Troon Pacific with her husband, Greg Malin, and served as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of the firm’s overall design team for over 16 years. Renowned for her European sensibility, her originality, and her creativity with design, her roster of notable interior design projects include LEED Platinum luxury residences, numerous residences and wineries in the Napa/Sonoma area, the 464 Prospect luxury development in La Jolla, California, George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch Sound Studios, Robert Redford’s Sundance Resort in Provo, Utah, and the Hassayampa Golf and Country Club in Prescott, Arizona. Charlot was active in the San Francisco Community as the President of the San Francisco Opera Guild, Chairman of SFMOMA’s Artist Circle, and served on the Board of SFMOMA, The Voss Foundation, The American Norwegian Cultural Foundation, and the Norway House Foundation. Charlot’s design direction and generous community spirit live on through Troon Pacific’s projects and commitment to volunteer service and ongoing support of arts, cultural, educational, and environmental organizations.
